sharing the gospel in word & deed
At City Church, we believe the Gospel has both spiritual and physical implications for our lives. After all, Christ's life, death and resurrection show that God is concerned for both our spiritual and physical needs. Christ not only preached the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven: He showed it. Christ's sacrifice on our behalf was both physical and spiritual.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
city church's benevolence ministry
Our Benevolence Ministry is responsible for assisting members of our congregation and those within our community by meeting short-term financial needs that cannot otherwise be met. Examples of needs may include mortgage payments, rent, utilities, food and other short-term living expenses. This is primarily accomplished through the generous giving of the City Church family to the Benevolence Ministry. Members of the Benevolence Team carefully consider each request for assistance through an application and interview process.
How to apply
Before applying, please take a look at our list of Community Resources available to those in crisis situations. Applicants should only seek financial assistance from City Church to address needs that cannot otherwise be met.
Applications may be picked up at our office in Roland Park (600 Wyndhurst Ave Suite 100B) or downloaded online. Please follow all instructions on the first page of the application. You may drop off your application at City Church's office, send it to our mailing address or scan and email it to Patrick Donohue at patrick@citychurchbaltimore.org.
DONATIONS FORWARDED
SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS IN NORTH BALTIMORE
From time to time, as donor generosity permits, City Church's Benevolence Ministry may make gifts to organizations who are serving the surrounding community of North Baltimore, particularly those organizations that serve a vulnerable population. Our Benevolence Team may also work with your organization to establish non-monetary ways that City Church's congregation can get involved and serve with your organization. If you would like to learn how City Church can support and get involved with your organization, please contact us and set up a meeting with our Benevolence Team.
