This summer, CITY KIDS will have two sessions of service camp for the children to join! This camp will teach kids what it means to serve with engaging projects in the community that hopefully will ignite in them hearts for helping others.
Each day the kids will tackle a different project in the morning that may entail gardening, baking, or crafts. Kids will need to be dropped off at City Church's Stony Run Offices, but drivers will be provided for the camp's activities. This is a half-day camp with a 9:00 AM drop off and a 12:00 PM pick up.
The camp is designed for elementary-aged students; ideally, those entering first grade through middle-school. The cost is FREE but the value is high. We will divide the projects between older and young children.
WEDNESDAY Project #1 -
THURSDAY Project #1 - OLIVER. Kids will help Meraki Community Uplift in their 40,000 square foot garden in the Oliver Community. This garden provides fresh food to the neighborhood and a few corner stores which they wouldn't have access to otherwise. (Older Kids)
THURSDAY Project #2 - STONY RUN CLEAN-UP / NEIGHBORHOOD HEROES. (Young Kids)
FRIDAY Project #1 - GOVANS URBAN FOREST. (All Kids)
