Join us as we begin the Lenten season with a brief early morning prayer service.
By the fourth century, the church began regularly recognizing the Lenten season, a forty day period that remembers the final events of Christ's life. Ever since then, Lent has been a time to refocus, repent, and remember.
The Lenten Season begins with Ash Wednesday. "The aim of Ash Wednesday is threefold: to meditate on our mortality, sinfulness, and need of a savior; to renew our commitment to daily repentance in the Lenten season and all of life; and to remember with confidence and gratitude that Christ has conquered sin and death." (The Worship Sourcebook)
We invite you to join us in prayer as we begin this season of remembrance.
