Isaiah was a prophet who was ignored. He spoke the truth of God to ears that did not want to hear. He painted vivid images and beautiful pictures of the coming Messiah. Yet, he was marginalized and his message was neglected. When the Messiah arrived, only a few noticed.
The Good News of God’s arrival is celebrated each year during the Advent Season. Advent is a time of waiting and anticipation. It is a time when we refuse to ignore, neglect, or marginalize the significance of Christ’s arrival. It is a time when we open our eyes and ears to His presence in the world.
