Winston Churchill was the Prime Minister of Great Britain during World War II. History paints him as a hero, a statesman who united and inspired his country. But, he was not without his enemies. In fact, he famously said, "A kite flies against the wind, not with it." He echoed the sentiments of Albert Einstein who said that "great spirits always encounter opposition."
Many see in Jesus a man of great character and passion, a man who was the embodiment of love and sacrifice. But Jesus was not without opposition. He regularly encountered strong resistance and angry rebuke. For the next four weeks, we are going to look at the "Jesus Opposition," a look at why His controversial message of grace was met with such anger and backlash.
